Amphitheater Brings Overnight Guests
Friday, August 12, 2016 12:24 PM by Elizabeth Judge

When Dave Matthews Band announced it's first Syracuse concert since 2012, fans quickly ensured that it would become the first show to sell out at the new Lakeview Amphitheater. Bringing in a crowd of 17,500, the concert venue wasn’t the only area business to benefit from the weekday show. Local hotels saw a 13 percent spike in guests the night of the concert compared to the previous year. With typical overnight parties to Syracuse spending $1,060 per trip, area businesses are definitely seeing an upswing of visitors spending money in the community both, before and after the Lakeview concerts.
