Hotel News: Renovations, Expansions and Fun, New Brands

The hotel options in Syracuse are growing faster than ever! With several new concept brands including the newly opened Tru and existing Aloft, alongside the award winning Marriott Syracuse Downtown and the newly expanded DoubleTree, the Syracuse area has a variety of options across the region to meet any attendees’ needs.
Tru by Hilton has opened locations in Township 5 in Camillus, as well as in the north/airport area. The Tru brand is known for having a modern and unique style and features, as well as a highly local focus when it comes to the food and beer selections offered. Both locations offer comfortable, innovative guestrooms and public areas, and they are popularly known for their build-your-own breakfasts with sweet and savory toppings bar. The Township 5 location also offers an indoor sport court, and is the only Tru property with this feature.
Holiday Inn Syracuse/Liverpool
The Holiday Inn Syracuse/Liverpool will be undergoing a major renovation this fall/winter. The renovation will include a complete update of guestrooms, public space & function space along with a completely overhauled restaurant and larger lounge space. In the upcoming weeks, there will be additional exciting changes that we can officially announce!
Country Inn & Suites
August brought the opening of the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Syracuse North - a new hotel located just three miles from the Syracuse Hancock International Airport. The property recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation and now offers 76 modern and spacious rooms and suites that reflect the brand’s most recent styles.
Marriott Syracuse Downtown Awards
The Marriott Syracuse Downtown has received several awards and recognition within the last year, including the AAA Four Diamond Award, Best City Center Historic Hotel (Historic Hotels of America), Excellence in Historic Preservation Award (Preservation League of New York State), Best Hotel (Syracuse New Times), Best Wedding Venue (Syracuse New Times), and a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Syracuse recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation that included updated guestrooms, a new lobby and glass fireplace, a relocated bar, as well as modernized public and event spaces. The renovation also introduced a new hotel restaurant, Seasons Tavern, as well as a 3,000 square foot expansion of the hotel’s front ballroom.
A new TownePlace Suites, an extended stay Marriott-brand hotel, recently opened on Rt. 31 in Clay. The hotel offers 112 suites with full kitchens, and is located among many dining and shopping options.
Hampton Inn & Suites
The Ramada Inn in Liverpool has reopened under a new flagship, as a 124-room Hampton Inn & Suites.
