Marriott Syracuse Downtown – Downtown Syracuse’s newest hotel is slated to open July 2016. It will be the premier Syracuse downtown hotel and the official convention center hotel of the Oncenter. Renovations to the former Hotel Syracuse, originally opened in 1924, include fully updated guest rooms, 23 event rooms, a variety of dining options and the restoration of several 92-year-old chandeliers. BIG Yellow Fellow SYR - This 12-person mobile touring bicycle will give riders a unique way to explore the City of Syracuse with custom-made tours. Riders get to pedal their way to the sights. Similar to vehicles in Nashville, Albany and Rochester, the idea has been brought to life locally by Syracuse walking-tour aficionado Michael John Heagerty, who leads the Noexcuses Tours, LLC. Aloft Syracuse Inner Harbor - The Aloft Hotel will be the first waterfront property to open in the Syracuse Inner Harbor. The The boutique hotel, also near Destiny USA, will feature 134 guestrooms, a lounge area, cocktail bar gym and a Splash pool. Designed for global travelers, Aloft Hotels offer comfortable loft-inspired rooms and a vibrant social scene, all in a modern tech-savvy environment. Destiny USA – New York State’s largest dining, shopping and entertainment venue has a variety of new announcements. Action sports footwear company, Vans, opened early in 2016, in addition to the ever-popular smoothie chain, Jamba Juice. Sweets shop IT'SUGAR, will open in the near future as well as specialty UK cosmetics retailer, Lush, and Cowboy Saloon, a new take on a country western bar and restaurant. Build-A-Bear workshop and Old Navy were recently renovated. The major retail center will also make the Group Day Pass available year-round and the Fun Day Pass will be reintroduced for the summer season.
