Looking to get a feel for the Syracuse foodie scene this fall? Then why not do so while supporting a great cause! The McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center is bringing you Kick-off for Kids where you can sample your way through some great local food and grab a drink- all in the name of doing good. Here's our round-up about why this is an event not to be missed:
Event Details: Thursday, October 18 from 5:30-9 PM at the SRC Arena
Dress Code: Wear your best jersey
Brews
The 21 and up crowd can sample their way around a variety of brewery stands. Favorites like Full Boar Craft Brewery and Middles Ages Brewing Company will be serving up the hottest of what’s on tap. Try everything from fall inspired craft beverages to classic IPAs.
Contests
Local celebrity guest judges will be sampling what attending restaurants have to offer and taking their pick of the best tailgate food and brew. Ticket holders will also get a chance to pick the best of what’s around with the People’s Choice awards for food and beverages. Fill up on local cuisine and don’t forget to write down your favorites.
Live Entertainment
Local artists will be playing live music all night to keep the party going. A silent auction will give you an extra way to donate, and a photo booth will be available so you can keep your memories of the night alive. Tailgate games will be available so start practicing your cornhole throws now.
The Cause
The best part about this event is that proceeds go directly to the Center. Events like these make it possible to provide services and a path of healing to over 1,000 sexually or physically abused children in Onondaga County each year. So throw on your jersey, buy a ticket here and get ready for a night of food and fun in support of the Center.
