1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your experience in event planning?
I’m Sue Revoir, the Conferences/Education Coordinator for the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs. I’ve been in the event planning industry for 35 years, specializing in organizing large-scale conferences and training events. My role allows me to bring together professionals in the fire service industry to learn, connect, and stay ahead of the latest industry trends. 2. What is the FIRE 2025 Conference, and why is Syracuse the ideal location for it?
The FIRE 2025 Conference is an annual event focused on fire service-related exhibits, education, and training. Scheduled for June 4-7, 2025, it brings together 6,000-7,000 attendees and 175 exhibitors. Syracuse is the perfect host city due to its central location in New York State, making travel easy for attendees. Additionally, the hotels are conveniently close to the venue, and the staff at Visit Syracuse, The Oncenter, and the Marriott provide outstanding support to ensure a seamless experience. Their dedication makes Syracuse a standout location for our conference.
3. What can attendees expect from this year’s event, and do you have any recommendations for first-time visitors?
Attendees can look forward to an engaging experience, including hands-on training, live demonstrations, and an extensive exhibit hall showcasing the latest in fire service equipment and technology. It’s a vital event for networking, education, and staying informed about industry advancements. For those visiting Syracuse for the first time, I highly recommend exploring the city’s vibrant downtown, enjoying the restaurants in Armory Square, visiting Onondaga Lake Park, and experiencing local attractions like the Erie Canal Museum or a Syracuse Mets game.
