Experience Broadway at the Landmark Theatre

Location: 362 S Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13202

The Landmark Theatre (originally Loew’s State Theater) is Syracuse’s grand historic theater, a lavish 1928 movie palace that has been beautifully restored. Designed by famed architect Thomas W. Lamb in an “Oriental-style” opulence, it is the city’s only surviving 1920s-era theater and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After closing in the 1970s, it was saved from demolition by community activists who formed the Syracuse Area Landmark Theatre (SALT) and raised funds to renovate it. Today, with nearly 3,000 seats, the Landmark hosts major Broadway touring productions, concerts, comedians, and special events, welcoming legendary performers and large-scale shows that anchor downtown’s arts scene.

• Da (March 20 - 29, 2026): In this Tony award winner for best play, middle-aged assimilated American Charlie returns home to his native Dublin to sort through and come to terms with his relationship to this thoroughly beguiling, maddening presence in his life: “Da.” Reminiscence gives way to memory and illusion as an adolescent “Charlie Then” is brought back form the past, while the man who is “Charlie Now” grapples with his own mortality, and the part of his life that will always be the irascible “Da.”
• Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill: The Musical (June 5 - 14, 2026): Inspired by the Grammy-award winning album of the same name and 15-time Tony nominated musical.
