KlezFest, one of Central New York’s most treasured summer festivals, invites people of all backgrounds to come together for an afternoon of live music, family activities, local shopping and plenty of delicious kosher food. Co-founded in 1999 by Mimi Weiner, Sid and Donna Lipton, the festival continues to celebrate Jewish culture while providing opportunities of meaningful connection across the community. Rain or shine, KlezFest will take place on the grounds of the Jewish Community Center of Syracuse from noon to 4 p.m. Attendees can come hungry and leave happy, with a menu showcasing a diverse selection of kosher favorites that have helped shape Jewish culture for generations. Still considered the only fully Certified Va’ad Kosher festival in Upstate New York, KlezFest provides both a distinctive culinary experience as well as a cultural one.
