Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The team at Visit Syracuse believes that all human beings — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, abilities, neurodiversity, language, religious beliefs and individuals of many more identities and experiences — should have equal opportunities and access to services.

We believe that respecting all people — and celebrating our differences — makes us better friends and neighbors. We recognize how critical inclusivity is within the community and the tourism industry. And, through actions of advocacy and allyship, we strive to be leaders in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility - celebrating the cultural diversity - throughout Onondaga County and New York State.

We recognize how critical inclusivity is to the tourism industry, and as a four-season destination it is our responsibility to promote a wide variety of different voices, cultures, history, heritage, cuisine, art and athletics that make our community unique in order to provide opportunities for under-represented communities to experience travel as a safe and equitable activity.
