Unique Spots to Tie The Knot

Beautiful wedding venues are something we have an abundance of around here.

With rolling green hills, barns turned to reception venues and charming spaces, your vision is sure to come to life.

Aster (Skaneateles, NY)

Located just outside the Village of Skaneateles, in a wooded area, lies a serene setting for an outdoor wedding. Complete with natural (but groomed) greenery throughout the venue, Aster is the spot for amazing 360 degree photo opportunities. Plus, Aster was nominated as a 2019 winner of the ‘Best of Weddings’ award by a top, all-in-one wedding planner site, The Knot.

The Sinclair of Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY)

Built as the Sinclair Chair Factory in 1871, the Sinclair is located alongside Skaneateles creek. With an outdoor entertaining area as beautiful as the inside, enjoy various gathering areas and a custom stone fireplace during those cooler evenings. Not only has the Sinclair has been beautifully restored to resemble the original photos from the late 1800’s but the owners tracked down 175 of the original Sinclair chairs and brought them back “home” to where they were built. Dance (or sit) the night away at a venue filled with a piece of history.

The Orchards at Rocking Horse Farm (Jamesville, NY)

Imagining nothing but greenery and country views for the backdrop of your wedding? How about a raging (but controlled) bonfire with s’mores for your guests? Still not sold on the s’mores? The 150-acre lot hosts a tree farm, apple trees and even alpacas and mini donkeys. Rocking Horse Farm only hosts one wedding per weekend, making the entire venue yours from Friday to Sunday. Owned by a family with landscaping in their blood, this venue will aesthetically never disappoint.

Arlington Acres (Lafayette, NY)

This venue is the epitome of authentic. With new life breathed into pre-existing features on their 100-acre property, which still has an active pasture for farming to original barn beams and even repurposed troughs, this is the spot for a rustic rendezvous. Arlington Acres has a long history dating back to the first wedding on the grounds in 1904, you’re sure to have some good juju when you tie the knot here.
