Where to Find French Macarons Around Town

Bonjour! Love sweets and still haven’t tried a French macaron?

We’ve rallied up some top spots to get your hands (and your Instagram account) on this cookie. Macs (for short) were believed to be brought over to France from Italy in the mid-1500s, making this a classic and treasured dessert.

Tous les Jours

With the French meaning of ‘Everyday,’ Tous les Jours is as authentic as a bakery can get, serving up the iconic French macaron. Baked goods and beverages are made from the highest quality ingredients from South Korea, making this sweet stop a truly unique find.

Sugar & Company

Where bar meets bakery, Sugar & Co always has a glass cake stand full of macarons. Since they are only open in the evenings, this is the perfect after dinner dessert spot or pit stop to grab and go with some macarons in hand.

The Half Moon Bakery & Bistro

A gem in Jamesville, the bakery’s signature item is the French macaron. You can typically find various flavors and themed macs to choose from every time you stop in. Pull up a chair, grab a mac (in every flavor) and enjoy with a cup of coffee from Simple Roast Coffee Company.

The Sweet Praxis

Originally opening their doors as an exclusive French macarons and cupcake shop, it’s fair to say Sweet Praxis mastered the art of mac-making. Since then, they have expanded to a limitless amount of goodies. Constantly changing with the seasons and food trends, you’ll always find fun and unique French macaron flavors. Plus, all macarons are free of gluten.

Mylk & Hunny Bakeshop

You might not have to go far for these macarons, Mylk & Hunny distributes their macaron creations to coffee shops throughout the Syracuse area. Be sure to check out Salt City Coffee, Peaks Coffee Company and Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters for your fix. But wait, there’s more – all of their macs are vegan to please all food preferences.

Skaneateles Bakery

A staple in the Village of Skaneateles, you’ll find lines out the door most weekends. There’s always a unique French macaron flavor (or two) on the menu each day, from matcha to raspberry, coconut and beyond.
