Labrador Hollow State Unique Area
Overview
Near Tully and accessible from Route 91, Labrador Hollow State Unique Area was formed thousands of years ago by glaciers. Its kettle lake sits 350 feet above sea level and is dominated by hills of 2,000 feet. This creates a shady environment for most of the day, resulting in plant life that is more characteristic of high mountain bogs. Diverse flora and fauna, some endangered or rare, live here. Activities at Labrador Hollow include fall leaf-peeping, hiking, canoeing (launching at designated areas), birdwatching and fishing in permitted areas. No motorized watercraft.
