    Electric Car Charging Stations in Syracuse, NY

    Do you or someone you know drive an electric or hybrid car in the Syracuse area? 

    In Onondaga County alone, there are over 400 public EV, or Electric Vehicle, charging stations, 74 of which are free charging stations. 

    The city of Syracuse also is equipped with 40 DC (Direct Current) Fast Chargers, 20 of which are Tesla Superchargers.

    So, if you live in the Central New York area or you’re coming to Syracuse for a visit with your hybrid or electric vehicle, here's a list of a few places around Onondaga County to charge your electric car and the apps necessary to use them.

    Electric & Hybrid Car Charging Stations

    The Galleries of Syracuse – A close walk to the Salt City Market, Oh My Darling, and The Landmark Theatre.

    (147 E. Onondaga Ave, Pay to park, free to charge)

    The Oncenter Parking Lot – Stroll around downtown Syracuse, check out shops and fine dining while your car charges.

    (420 Harrison St- $0.49/kWh, $1 minimum, ChargePoint)

    City Hall Parking Lot – A short walk to Hanover Square which offers a variety of different cuisines while you wait.

    (217 Montgomery St. $10 to park, $0.49/kWh to charge after 5 p.m.-ChargePoint 

    Destiny USA – Head inside and experience over 250 shops, attractions, and eats. After a couple of hours, your car will be charged, and you’ll have had a blast passing the time.

    (1 Destiny USA Dr., Supercharger, ChargePoint $0.49/kWh)

    Carrier Park - This park offers grade-A baseball and softball fields that host a number of little league tournaments throughout the year. Also offering a playground and full concession stand, it's easy to spend a fun day here while your car recharges. 

    (1033 Kinne St, East Syracuse, ChargePoint, $0.35/kWh

    Onondaga Lake Park – While your car charges up, you can enjoy a walk, run, bike, or skate along Onondaga Lake.

    (104 Lake Dr, Liverpool- ChargePoint, Free)

    Nichols Supermarket – This old-school grocery store will allow you to charge your car for free in the parking lot and get your weekly shopping taken care of.

    (301 1st St., Liverpool, ChargePoint, Free)

    Green Lakes State Park – Charge your car here while you enjoy mother nature and the beauty of the meromictic lakes.

    (7900 Green Lakes Rd, Fayetteville, EV Connect, Free)

    Fayetteville Free Library – Rent a book and check out a local café and enjoy a treat while you wait for your car to refuel electrically.

    (300 Orchard St., Fayetteville, ChargePoint, Free)

    Beaver Lake Nature Center – While Beaver Lake is wonderful all year round, in the winter you can charge your car and rent snowshoes to explore the wooded areas. This park offers numerous loops, an adventure is sure to be found here.

    (8477 E Mud Lake Rd, Baldwinsville, ChargePoint)

    Mirabeau Inn and Spa – Pamper yourself with a massage, or a day of relaxation. While you take care of yourself. You and your Tesla will both feel recharged after leaving.

    (851 West Genesee St., Skaneateles, Tesla Destination)

    Solvay Public Library – There’s a lot of history at this library. Constructed sometime between 1903 and 1905, the Solvay Public Library is a historic Carnegie library- learn about it while you charge your car.

    (615 Woods Rd., Solvay, ChargePoint, $0.15/kWh)

    344 W. Genesee Street – Enjoy Dinosaur BBQ, Press Room Pub, Apizza, or many restaurants offered in Armory square as this street is a quick walk to an array of options.
