Fall vibes are here with the start of September in Onondaga County. We’re keeping up with cultural festivals, kicking off football season in the ‘315, and getting pumped for fall foliage. Check out things to do in Syracuse, NY this September.

The Boss returns to Syracuse, New York at the JMA Wireless Dome for one night only on September 7th. A weekend celebration of all things Irish, from music to food and even specialty shops, all found downtown in Clinton Square. The 2022 event runs from September 8-9 and features musical performances from The Prodigals, Neil Emberg & Hadrian’s Wall, Moxie Strings, The Friel Sisters and more!
One of the area's top food festivals, Festa Italiana, returns from September 15-17, 2023. Fill up on food from Avicolli's Italian Restaurant, desserts from Biscotti Cafe, or a variety of other vendors, and check out the entertainment schedule to catch one of the area acts performing on the main or second stage.
Jordan Fall Festival
The Jordan Fall Festival has been running for over 77 years and will take place this September 15-17, 2022. Featuring craft and merchant tents, kids rides, live entertainment and fair foods.
On Farm Fest
Celebrating it's 7th year, the On Farm Fest offers a free day of family fun at nine local farms across Onondaga County. Enjoy farm tours, live music, local products and more on Saturday, September 16th from 10am - 3pm. Participating farms include: Anyela's Vineyards, Brady Farm, Crazy Daisies, Dutch Hill Maple, Emmi Farms, Navarino Orchard, The Pumpkin Hollow, Sunshine Horses and Shepard Settlement Farm.

Outdoor Fall Concerts
St. Joseph's Health Amphitheater at Lakeview is host to several fall concerts this year, including Noah Kahan (9/1), Foreigner- the historic farewell tour (9/2), Shinedown (9/13), and more.
The Great New York State Fair will be offering a wide variety of concerts and shows throughout its 14 day schedule. Shows are included in the fairgoers fee at the gate. The 2023 Fair music lineup is jam packed so plan your day now.
The Syracuse Mets baseball team continues their 2023 season into September. With 12 games home throughout September you’ll have plenty of opportunity to catch a game before the season ends.
Kick off college football season at the JMA Wireless Dome, when the Syracuse University Orange take on the Colgate Raiders, on September 2nd. The Orange will also take the home field against Western Michigan (9/9) and Army West Point (9/23) during the month of September.
Enjoy the Syracuse Inner Harbor and all it has to offer at this three-day festival. (SEPT 29 – OCT 1) featuring dragon boat racing to benefit Clear Path for Veterans. The festival is family-friendly and includes food trucks, live music, carnival rides, craft vendors, yard games, a 5K race, and a dragon boat eye dotting ceremony, as well as fireworks and dragon boat races on the water.
