We had a chance to catch up with local foodie, SavorCuse to discover the tasty side of Fall in Syracuse, New York. And, while picking apples, pumpkins, and watching the leaves change are all quintessential parts of the fall season in Onondaga County, we decided to discover the sweeter side of Syracuse. Let’s check out 10 reasons why we think (and know)  the autumn season is truly the best in the Central New York, Syracuse area.

  1. Brewer Union Cafe Farm to Table Mains (Squash Risotto Bowl)

Less than 20 minutes outside of the city area is Brewer Union Cafe and if you haven’t taken a trip there you’re missing out. The squash risotto bowl is the taste of the season. Just because summer has come to an end, doesn’t mean we stop craving ice cream. We now crave this tasty cold treat with a fun fall flare on it. Head to the Ice Cream Stand located across the street from Clinton Square to try their delicious pumpkin soft serve.

If you’re hungry and with a group of people, the Salt City Market is a great place for a variety of foods and drinks. This fall though we recommend you try out the apple crisp bun from SinBun full of apples, brown sugar and cinnamon with a crème brulee icing.
