If you’ve got a green thumb, you’re in the right place.

Syracuse is home to countless greenhouses and garden stores overflowing with flowers, plants, seeds, and anything else you need to cultivate a lush garden this spring and summer. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply want a few beautiful flowers to complement your home, our list below has something for anyone with a penchant for greenery.

Abdo’s Garden Market

If you’re passionate about flowers, don’t miss this Manlius staple. Sitting just outside the town center, Abdo’s Garden Market features three main greenhouses chock-full of countless flower varieties from subtle to bright and bold. The greenhouses are big enough to house plenty of options but small enough to not be overwhelming - a perfect combo for newer gardeners. You can also find Abdo’s Garden Market not only at the CNY Regional Market but also at Station 603 - right across the street from Manlius faves SingleCut Beersmiths and Cafe Jarosz.

Crazy Daisies

This spot puts its own unique - and tasty - twist on gardening. Crazy Daisies features not only sprawling greenhouses but a restaurant complete with a large (very delicious) menu. After your meal, peruse any one of the greenhouses full of flowers, greenery, and small trees. Located on Kasson Road in Syracuse, a visit to Crazy Daisies can be made into a fun day event.

PS: Not only does Crazy Daisies have their gardening game down, they’ve also got a wide selection of fun merch to choose from.

Chuck Hafner’s

A beloved 315 classic, Chuck Hafner’s offers gardeners a massive collection of greenhouses full of varying flowers, plants, and trees located in North Syracuse. Hafner’s is open March through December - making it the perfect stop from spring right through to the holiday season. And for those especially hot summer days, stop by Farm Girl Juicery, located right next to Hafner’s - to grab a nourishing (and refreshing!) smoothie or juice.

Carol Watson Greenhouse

Located in the lush hills of LaFayette, Carol Watson Greenhouse features countless varieties of annuals and perennials. The greenhouse also offers shoppers some additional plants to spruce up their indoor or outdoor gardens, from cacti to succulents. Plants aside, Carol Watson Greenhouse also sells plenty of unique pieces of garden art to add an extra dose of charm to your greenery.

And if you’ve got a leashed furry friend, this spot is dog-friendly, too - adding to the fun of your plant run.

Cross Creek Nursery

Smack dab between Manlius and Cazenovia, Cross Creek Nursery houses plenty of annuals and perennials, from Angelonia to Victoria varieties (and everything in between). The greenhouse is also ideal if you need to stock up on soil, as they offer a variety of mulch and even mushroom composting options. Cross Creek Nursery also tackles landscaping needs, providing homeowners with a variety of services such as maintenance, holiday decorating, and more.
