Hanover Thursday’s Music Series

August 3, 2023 every Thursday; Hanover Square, Syracuse, NY

The second year of this awesome weekly concert series begins August 3rd in Hanover Square. For 5 - weeks, Hanover Thursday’s brings area artists, foods, and drinks together for an awesome crowd every Thursday in August. Concerts start at 5 pm and are free and open to the public of all ages. While you're there enjoy local restaurants and outdoor seating at places like Maxwells, Orbis, Eden, and the Fish Fiar.

 

Middle Ages 28th Anniversary Celebration

August 6; Leavenworth Park, Syracuse, NY

This annual family-friendly event features popular area bands, food vendors and of course Middle Ages craft brews. Feel free to bring chairs, pop-up tents and food. This year's musical lineup includes Dark Hollow, Brown Skin Band, Rollin' Rust, and Transient kicks.

 

St. George Macedonian Ethnic Festival

August 4-6; St. George Macedonian Eastern Orthodox Church, Syracuse, NY

This weekend's event celebrates Macedonian culture. Attendees can enjoy Macedonian music, tour the St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church, purchase traditional goods and have a taste of traditional food and drink. 

 

Brew at the Zoo

August 4; Rosamond Gifford Zoo, Syracuse, NY

More than 2,000 guests sell out this annual beer tasting event featuring a selection of craft beers and beverages from the Central New York region. In addition to over 100 beverage tastings, enjoy a variety of local food trucks, live entertainment throughout the zoo, animals on evening exhibit, and more! A silent auction features animal artwork, collectables, travel packages, dining experiences, movie and rock star memorabilia.

 

Blueberry Jam Festival

August 5; Critz Farms, Cazenovia, NY

This all-day family-friendly festival offers something for everyone. Enjoy live music, children’s entertainment, farm tours, food trucks, and u-pick blueberries and blueberries inspired cider and beer.

 

54th Canal Day

August  Ryder Park, East Syracuse, NY

This annual free family-friendly event is full of fun for the whole family. Featuring games, inflatables, pony rides and more this one-day event is one of the longest running family events in CNY.

 

The 80th CNY Scottish Games and Celtic Festival

August 12th; Long Branch Park, Liverpool, NY

Every 2nd weekend in August, Central New York hosts a Highland Games, Pipe Band competition and Celtic ethnic activities at the incredible venue of Long Branch Park on Onondaga Lake in Syracuse. Featuring family-friendly GAMES all day full of Competitions for: Solo Piping, Drumming & Pipe Bands, Highland Dancing & Heavy Athletics. Children’s Games, entertainment, Celtic themed vendors & food, clans & societies, harpers, Syracuse Irish Session, Massed Bands and so much more!

 

Syracuse Latino Festival

August 19, 2023, 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm : Clinton Square

This wonderful event, located in the heart of downtown Syracuse in Clinton Square celebrates the CNY Latino Community. This festival is free to attend and welcomes the general public for one day of amazing food, music, dancing, cultural demonstrations, sports tournaments small shows, and youth show opportunities by the people in our area and region.
